LABC is associated with the following organizations:

1) The Sandy Creek Baptist Association is made up of other baptist churches in the Central Illinois region who desire to better reach people throughout the region.

2) The Illinois State Baptist Association is made up of around 1,100 churches in the state of Illinois.  We are committed to working together with other churches and the IBSA to spread the word of Christ all over Illinois.

3) The Southern Baptist Convention is made up of about 45,000 churches and about 16 million members. It is the largest association of Christian churches in America. SBC churches include every race, nationality and ethnic group. Each Sunday, services are held in over 110 language groups. Also, it is one of the fastest growing groups. The SBC baptizes over 1,000 new Christians a day in the U.S., and begins nearly 5 new churches a day.

Why not be an independent church?

We are an independent church.  We voluntarily associate ourselves for the purpose of accomplishing the Great Commission.  Unlike other denominations, there is no denominational control or hierarchy.  Each church is self-governed.  For example, each church picks its own pastor, owns its buildings and assets, and determines its own programs.
