First Look (birth - Pre K)

You're a preschooler, and the world is bursting with newness.  Each day is filled with one new discovery after another. Where did that bird come from? Look, the moon is shaped funny tonight! Who thought to color a butterfly like that?

At LABC, First Look uses engaging activities to introduce preschool children (ages birth to five) to God. First Look gives children a first impression their heavenly Father and the wonder of His love for each one of them.

K-5th Grade

Every Sunday morning at 9:00am, kids at LABC gather at the Outpost for a time of fun, games, and learning about Jesus! Kids learn in both a large group environment and in small groups.

LABC uses Orange, a unique approach to curriculum for churches.  It's built around three basic truths every child should embrace according to what Jesus modeled in Luke 2:52.

"And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature,

and in favor with God and with people." Luke 2:52 (CSB)

Truth #1 - I need to make the wise choice.

Truth #2 - I can trust God no matter what.

Truth #3 - I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

Each basic truth is amplified by a weekly key concept and systematically taught over a three year track.  The curriculum includes 150 Bible stories and is based on a core virtue and memory verse as the framework each month.

Sunday morning live

Every Sunday

During the 10:30am Worship Service

Children learning about God's plan for their life is at its strongest when multiple families are connecting with each other and with church leaders weekly or monthly.  That's why we do SML.  This unique experience opens the door for conversations at home.

What is SML?

  • Kid-focused (deals with issues facing kids)
  • Value-driven
  • Creatively wired (using what's culturally relevant to communicate what is timeless)
